In the event of a campus or Rapid City area emergency, the University's Emergency Response and Planning Team will post important news announcements on this web page. If the emergency requiring immediate campus-wide communication, the South Dakota School of Mines and Technology campus has a comprehensive system in place—called Campus Alert—to send emergency updates and instructions via voice, text, and e-mail messages to faculty, staff, and students.
